Technology and Enterprise Architect Profession to Receive Needed Skills Program

In a move to aid non-vendor companies to further enable their technology and enterprise strategies, the global technology architect association (Iasa), is providing grants for training to organizations that proactively adopt a standardized skill set and capability level in their job descriptions and RFP requirements. One of the first organizations to adopt this new program is Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, Texas.

“As the oldest and largest existing professional association for architects, Iasa is thrilled to offer such a critical program to advance the customer-supplier relationship,” said Paul Preiss, Chairman and CEO of Iasa. “We are extremely impressed with Frost Banks’s commitment to world-wide standards of excellence in architecture and business strategy and are delighted they are taking the lead in standardizing the capabilities of the profession.”

The Accelerated Skills Acquisition Program (ASAP) provides much needed training to non-vendor companies who are dedicated to a significant degree of excellence in architecture practice and are willing to demonstrate that by requiring or recommending the CITA-P on their job descriptions and RFP response requirements. The program provides a 100% discount to those companies willing to require the CITA-P on job descriptions, RFP responses and staff-augmentation projects and a 50% discount on training for those that adopt a recommended level. The program fulfils Iasa’s non-profit mission to ensure the technology architect profession is the most recognized and best educated profession in the world.

Doug Skiba, Chief Architect of Frost Bank, was enthusiastic to learn about the program. “It allows me to set a straight forward career path for the company’s IT architects, while re-affirming our commitment to a global standard of excellence in architecture practice. To qualify for ASAP benefits, firms must fill out an online application which details their current architecture practice, goals and a number of other elements which Iasa uses to determine grant recipients. Iasa will provide grant benefits to as many companies as possible based on their eligibility as a non-vendor companies, their anticipated need and current and future course schedules.
